02 June 2008 Recycle Week 2008 Is your school ready for Recycle Week? The annual event, which is now in its fifth year, is organised by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) in partnership with the leading materials recycling organisations, British Glass, Corus, Novelis, PaperChain and Recoup. There are many ways in which you can take part. Setting up a recycling display is a great way to let everyone know about your Recycle Week activities, including general information about recycling in your area. A recycling week assembly is a great way of letting everyone know that it is Recycle Week, hears the week's key messages and is aware of what they can do to get involved. Pupils and staff can show that their school is supporting Recycle Week by creating a life-sized Recycle Now "swoosh" and receive some great recycled goodies for their efforts. For more information on these activities, including a free Assembly PowerPoint presentation, please visit this link. http://www.recyclenowpartners.org.uk/../recycle_week_2008.html For the full news article and to be taken to the website, click here |
