Pupils have lot of eco-bottle
Ysgol Nantgaredig has been successful in gaining its fifth award from the Carmarthenshire Healthy Schools Scheme. Pupils constructed an eco friendly glasshouse made from recycled plastic bottles.

Seeds and plants will soon be cultivated for the vegetable garden. As well as this project, the committee, together with fellow pupils, have been co-ordinating a number of initiatives recently.

Pupils at the school have been learning about a number of issues concerning health, safety and cleanliness which includes learning about a balanced diet, the importance of exercise as well as health and safety issues during food preparation.

The school was also awarded a certificate for successfully participating in the 'Designed to Smile Award' which sees children not only learning about the importance of dental hygiene but being given the opportunity to clean their teeth daily in school. There is a dedicated eco-committee at the school.
