15 March 2012 Village school children declare WAR on waste
East Riding of Yorkshire Council waste and recycling officer Karen Woods visited Garton-on-the Wolds School to tell children how to help improve the environment by using the correct recycling bins. WAR officers such as Karen visit schools to take assemblies, assist with composting clubs, eco schools, give talks for different areas of the curriculum and become involved in eco-days and environment afternoons.
