Bin bags at the ready for the Big Tidy Up
Activities encouraging people to green up and clean up around their streets are set to be launched this month.

The green group Environmental Campaigns (ENCAMS) is kickstarting this year's Big Tidy Up campaign on Tuesday, March 24 and wants volunteers to sign up to help clear their neighbourhoods of rubbish.

The nationwide anti-litter campaign urges community groups to come together to don green tabards and take bin bags out to clean up around where they live.

A spokesman for the campaign said: "If you've had enough of seeing litter strewn across your neighbourhood then this is your chance to do something about it."

ENCAM want residents, schools, church groups and businesses to get on board.
