31 May 2012 Weston Point Primary School in Runcorn teams up with DIY store staff in eco-schools programme Pupils at Weston Point Primary School have been going green with a series of special gardening classes Staff from a DIY store in Runcorn have been visiting the children since September as part of a national eco-schools programme.
Classes at Weston Point have gone head-to-head to see who could grow the best flowers, and have recently planted vegetables.
They are expected to be ready in time for the summer holidays.
Noreen Curphey, headteacher, said: £It is a smashing partnership.
£The children are learning valuable skills which they can take away and pass on to their families or friends.£
