School's decade of success
A Swansea school is celebrating a decade of continuous environmental improvement

Brynhyfyrd Infant School has achieved the Eco-Schools Platinum award as well as a fourth international green flag.

Children at the school in Llangyfelach Road have access to allotments and large planters.

Brynhyfyrd Infant School head teacher Kathryn Richards said: "The children, staff and Governors are absolutely delighted to have achieved this prestigious award after many years of our ongoing commitment to working towards a sustainable lifestyle."

Martin Jones, programme co-ordinator, said: "All children from the youngest to the oldest are aware of how important it is to be responsible for the school and wider environment."
