Surrey School honoured with award success
A Surrey school has achieved an accolade for their environmental initiatives. Whyteleafe School, in Church Road, has again received the Green Flag Eco-Award Accreditation from the Department for Communities and Local Government.

The accolade acknowledges a commitment to an environmentally-friendly school, including introducing energy-saving measures.

Writing in the school's newsletter, head teacher Anthony Marsh said: "Congratulations everyone and thank you for your hard work."

Initially, the school won the status in 2009 and then five months later installed a pond and wildlife area.
