25 April 2012 Picnic leads to healthy benefits for Loch Primary The delighted pupils of Loch Primary School were reaping the fruits of their endeavours recently. The school£s pupils in Primary 6 and Primary 7 had taken part in the Eco Schools One Planet Picnic competition, where schools held their own picnics, filled with Fairtrade food.
As a reward for doing so well with their picnic, the school were presented with the prize of four apple trees, which will now form an orchard in the school.
Head teacher Sheena McNeill told the Reformer that everyone at the primary was delighted at the school£s success.
The head teacher also praised all the hard work by the pupils in putting on the picnic, which was held inside the school building due to the bad weather.
