04 April 2012 Pupils planning a world of wonder in eco garden Pupils have been working hard to develop gardens at Johnstown Primary School with help from the local B&Q superstore.
Children from the school visited the DIY store as part of a community event it was holding. Teacher Teresa Brunt said: "We are an eco-school and are working towards gaining platinum status.
"B&Q have been generous in their support of the creation of our project at the school which has helped with the children's knowledge of environmental issues.
"Pupils who are eco-councillors have designed and are in the process of creating a 'world of wonder' garden.
Colin Roderkerkin at B&Q said the town branch has a long standing commitment to the school and has provided resources for this project and others at the school. For the full news article and to be taken to the website, click here |
