27 March 2012 Schools Compete To Collect The Most "WEEE"! Tonnes of old and broken small electrical items are expected to be collected by county school children this week. Kegworth Primary School are amongst a total of 49 schools taking part in an initiative organised by Leicestershire County Council in partnership with Sims Recycling Solutions and DHL Envirosolutions.
Children are being asked to bring in items such as old irons, toasters, remote controls, kettles, unwanted computer equipment, hairdryers and battery powered toys.
A series of "Eco Days" will be held at the schools when the gadgets known as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) will be collected by Sims Recycling Solutions and DHL.
