Castlehill Primary take part in Eco Schools Scotlands One Planet Picnic
THE youngsters from Castlehill Primary School and Nursery in Gowkthrapple certainly know how to use their loaves when it comes to saving the planet.

They took part in the One Planet Picnic event, which was organised by Eco Schools Scotland, to help pupils learn about being green.
Head teacher Tina Milligan said: The aim of the Eco Schools picnic was to celebrate and enjoy Scottish foods while thinking about eco-friendly packaging and food waste.
To ensure these aims were met, the schools Eco Committee asked all the classes to think about foods from Scotland that they enjoyed and would be willing to eat, hopefully cutting down on leftovers!
