Scotland set for green initiative - Minister announces series of measure to ensure sustainability
Scottish schools are set to become greener under a new government initiative which will promote energy efficiency.

The move is designed to help Scotland meet the challenge of having renewable energy in every school and also to reduce greenhounse gas emmisions by 80 per cent by 2050, as required under the Scottish Climate Change BIll. The measures, which were announced by Education Secretary Fiona Hyslop, include working with the Carbon Trust to educate local authorities, which will include sustainable building design.
