06 October 2008 Couple recycle their way to the USA Whoever said that recycling could not be romantic? A couple who scoured the streets collecting recyclables for three months to help pay for their honeymoon flight seem to disagree. John and Ann Till from Petersfield in Hampshire put 60,000 items, including bottles and cans, through a Tesco recycling machine to earn club card points. These were then exchanged for 36,000 into British Airways air miles. The couple went to the United States by boat then flew back from Atlanta using their air miles. Mr Till told the Petersfield Post: "We were shocked as to how much rubbish the streets of Petersfield would yield.
