Children celebrate eco-credentials in capital
TWO students from Kedington Primary School travelled to London's Olympic Park to celebrate the school's progress in becoming more environmentally friendly.

Headteacher Darren Woodward made the trip with eight year old Molly Peacock and nine year old Alex Byron.

EDF Energy held 'Pod' celebrations overlooking the park on March 1, and Kedington was one of three schools there after being ranked second in the country under 'The Pod' scheme.

Mr Woodward said: "Sustainability and low carbon living are a priority for our school, so it's really encouraging that EDF Energy has already engaged so many schoolchildren like ours across the UK, helping them to take action to reduce their carbon footprints."

Alex said: "The Pod has shown me that making little changes are really important and I always remember to turn my computer off now and save energy."

West Suffolk MP Matthew Hancock said: "It is very exciting that Kedington pupils had a chance to see the Olympic Park - a reward for their success."
