Olympics construction staff visit schools
TO mark Sustainability Week, construction staff from Stratford's Olympic Park has been visiting schools and community centres in east London to promote eco-friendly initiatives and help improve local facilities.

Over 400 school-children have also had talks from ODA staff, among them pupils at St Angela's School in Forest Gate.

Newham projects helped by contractors include the Carpenters Community Centre in Stratford which now boasts newly painted floors and doors, a repaired ceiling and an improved outside play area.

At the Chandos Community Centre they carried out improvement works to the outside area, including clearing weeds and rubbish and donating compost, seeds and plants.
